Interior Doula Support

DOULA SERVICES FOR WOMEN IN BC’S RURAL INTERIOR COMMUNITIES

Birth Support for women in Clinton, Cache Creek, Ashcroft, Seaton/Shalath, Gold Bridge and Bralorne

As a mother who lived for 17 years in the small remote community of Gold Bridge, 1 3/4 hours west of Lillooet, BC I have experienced the impact of minimal prenatal support. I am very passionate that women in small communities have the same opportunities for support as women living in city centres. It is with this passion that I offer my doula services to women and thier families living in our more remote regions. With an interest in Rural Maternity Care Services and Research on RMC as well as being a mother who has experienced what it is like to have to go outside your home community to birth I have pursued my support services as a Doula. The most wonderful thing about a doula is that they come to you and you do not have to travel outside of your comfortable environment to meet. You may wish to view my basic Birth Doula Package or you may wish to have a package customized to your individual needs. For example you may wish to combine a Birth and Postpartum Package together to help you in your first week at home with baby, smoothing that transition into parenthood and having someone on call to you and available to travel to you if you require extra support. I have a large library of books, videos and dvd’s that I lend to my clients. These can help you with your birth preparation. We can arrange extra meeting if you require Childbirth Education or would like more information on Breastfeeding. I have an array of services and I am willing to work with you in the way that you desire. Please feel free to email or phone with any questions that you have.

I am happy to provide support services to women birthing at Lillooet District Hospital, Royal Inland Hospital or with Registered Midwife Joanna Nemrava in the Kamloops area.

I am proud to offer my services and fully support women of all ethnic backgrounds, religions and lifestyle choices. I cherish that I live in a community enriched with an aboriginal population and look forward to expanding my services with your community and respecting your traditions. I am very interested to support women birthing without partners as well as young mothers.

It is my wish to see more Pre/Post Natal Programming offered in our smaller communities. I hope to be of assistance to you.

In the Doula Spirit,
Casie
