About Joanna …
Mother of three and graduate of the UBC Midwifery Education Program, Joanna Nemrava integrates experience, knowledge and intuition to the care of women during pregnancy and childbirth.
With open heart and mind, Joanna offers genuine warmth, gentle hands, a calming voice and a strong sense of faith in the natural process of birth and the innate strength of women she serves. Joanna understands pregnancy, childbirth and the journey to becoming a parent as a unique opportunity for self discovery, connection and transformation. Joanna previously worked as a doula and pregnancy outreach worker with Healthiest Babies Possible in Salmon Arm and Sicamous. She has also been a yoga instructor and received a Diploma of Herbology, specializing in women’s health, from the Alpine Herbal College in 1996.
Joanna now serves on the Board of Directors of the Midwives Association of BC (MABC) and the International Women’s Health Committee (IWHC) of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC).
